We are publishing ancient wisdom and ancient Indian knowledge. The distribution of this knowledge has to be free, where possible, so that maximum people benefit, irrespective of religion, caste, sex, age or location. Such ancient wisdom has to be available pro bono publico (for the public good). Our commitment to providing free content remains ingrained in our mission.
Like you, we’re not big fans of ad banners on the web, but to help subsidise the costs and to help build a sustainable model to continue to offer stories free for the long-term, we’ve included some minimal advertising banners (Google ads) in the footer of most pages.
ShivShankar.in has to grow to achieve its goals. This growth is not possible without content developers, content users, or people like you who help distribute this content and knowledge.

Precedence of English terms:
As this ShivShankar.in website grows, we hope to get translated versions for different portions of the website. This is critical for our larger long term goal. If and when this website is available in multiple languages, these website terms of use are not to be modified. There will be inconsistency between these terms in English, and its translation into other languages because of interpretation, errors, and lag between writing English content versus writing it in different languages. Thus, for very practical reasons, the English language version has precedence.
