Lankeshwar Dham, Guwahati

Lankeswar Dham as the name suggests is a temple complex visited worshiped by Lanka King Ravana. There are three temples, starts with Ganesh temple at the gate, Shani temple in the middle and Lankeswar Shiv Temple on the top.

According to the priest who has been living here for more than 40 years from North India, original Shivling is located under a stone cave. There is a replica ling on the top for regular puja and a new temple is build near it sponsored by a devotee.

It is located adjacent to Guwahati University on the way to airport on a hillock south of Brahmputra River and Deeporbeel Lake on the north.
