Vishwanath Charali is a small town on the north bank of Brahmaputra River overlooking Kaziranga forest on the south bank. Vishwanath Ghat and temples are well maintained and renovated by Dept of archaeology. The Bordol Shiva temple constructed by Ahom King Rajeswar Singha in 1751-69 over a hillock. Deserted but well maintained compound now become playground for children. Shiva Ling and Mandup are perfect, echoing Om Namah Shivay is heard even from distance.
Gupt Kashi Shiva temple Linga was submerged in water, connecting Brahmaputra River. There is a new temple beside it, under construction.
Walking way to temple is clean and tiled overlooking mighty Brahmaputra River. There are few more temples complex on the island of the river, needs boat to reach.
