Dhareswar Devalaya Sualkuchi Assam

Hatimura (Elephant head) hillock is an appropriated name seen from the distance on visit to Sualkuchi (Silk village near Guwahati). Torturous road surrounded by lush green paddy fields and trees leads to the base of the hillock. It is an actively worshiped and visited by local villagers. Siva Singha was probably patron of the temple, donated land in 18th CE.
Hatimura hillock is worth visiting place, well guarded staircase leads to Dhareswari shrine (water fall from a natural Devi place) on the top of the hill with brilliant view of the surrounding natural beuty and Brahmaputra river.
