20 Km west of Behata Charali towards Mongoldoi on the NH52 (60km from Guwahati) on the north bank of Brahmputra, there is a new reconstructed Shiva temple of ancient time. There are temple remnants scattered all around, devastated by repeated earthquakes. Looking at the stone architecture it looks like it is contemporary to the Madan Kamdev temple approximately 1000 years old. Nath sect of Assam is looking after the temple at present with the help of temple committee. New Vishnu temple is under construction adjacent to it.
